BDA Announces Fall Internship in NY
Internship with Business for Diplomatic Action

¿ Time Commitment -- Fall Term (Sept-Early Dec 06') Flexible with start & ends dates per student needs; 40 hours per week
¿ Openings: 2 in New York (which will share the listed duties); Open to international students
¿ This is an unpaid internship
¿ Location ¿ DDB Worldwide Headquarters, 437 Madison Avenue, New York, 11th Floor
¿ Requirements ¿ Applicants must be a Senior if applying from the undergraduate level or currently pursuing a graduate degree; areas of study that are applicable: business, international relations, communication, public policy and public affairs, marketing and advertising, foreign affairs and political science
¿ Applicant Deadline ¿ Aug 20th, 2006 ¿ Selections will be made by Aug 30th.
¿ Duties (to include but are not limited to)
o Work directly with Keith Reinhard, President of BDA, Tom Miller, Vice President and their immediate staff, as well as the BDA Executive Director and Board membership on developing and managing internal directives, events, and outreach.
o Respond, cull, and organize BDA inquiries and offers of support
o Research current public diplomacy activities, press, and events for use in BDA presentations and news circulations; Research on foreign affairs and the implications for public diplomacy activities globally
o Aid in the development of BDA presentations, press kits, talking points, PR and public affairs strategy;
o Draft op-eds, speeches, talking points, etc. for events and BDA members (opportunity for publishing own work extremely high)
