WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 2005--The International Committee of the Public Relations Society of America (National Capital Chapter) will present a seminar on how anti-American sentiments have affected the ability of U.S. businesses and organizations to operate effectively in the global marketplace. The seminar will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the National Press Club.
Mr. Adrian Wooldridge, Bureau Chief for The Economist magazine; Dr. Stephen J. Weber, Chief Operating Officer of the Program on International Policy Attitudes, University of Maryland; Mr. Igor Zevelev, Bureau Chief for Novosti, the Russian information and news agency; and Ms. Helle Dale, Director of Foreign Policy and Defense Studies at the Heritage Foundation and also a senior advisor to Business for Diplomatic Action. Each panelist will offer perspective on the topic, and then the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The National Press Club is located at 529 14th Street NW, Washington D.C. 20045. The seminar will include a cash bar reception from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., and the seminar itself will run from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The National Press Club is one block from Metro Center.
The cost of the event is $35 for PRSA members; $40 for non-members, $25 for students and retirees. Working press may attend the event at no charge. Non-registered attendees will pay an additional $5 at the door.
