Tod J. MacKenzie is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at PepsiCo. Mr. MacKenzie plans and directs corporate communications globally, including the company¿s public and media relations, executive speeches and appearances, internal communications and community affairs. He also oversees PepsiCo¿s 168-acre global headquarters facility and The Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens in Purchase, New York, and the company¿s Aviation and Global Security functions. He was appointed to this position in 1999.
PepsiCo ranks among the world¿s largest convenient food and beverage companies, with 2005 revenues approaching $33 billion. Its businesses include Frito-Lay, Pepsi-Cola, Tropicana, Gatorade and Quaker Foods.
From 1996 to 1999, Mr. MacKenzie served as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for Frito-Lay and was responsible for the company¿s worldwide media relations, government and consumer affairs, internal communications and community relations. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Advertising and Public Affairs for Frito-Lay North America. In that role Mr. MacKenzie also supervised the company's TV, print and radio advertising for its brand portfolio.
Mr. MacKenzie began his PepsiCo career in 1987 as Manager of News Media for the Pepsi-Cola Company. He joined Frito-Lay as Director of Public Affairs in 1991 after serving as Group Manager of Public Affairs at
Pepsi-Cola International. Prior to PepsiCo, Mr. MacKenzie was a Vice President at Hill & Knowlton in Boston, an international public relations firm.
Mr. MacKenzie received his Bachelor's Degree in English at Fairfield University in Connecticut. He is married with three children and resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
